The Gospel today shows Jesus teaching the disciples with authority. There is something about the authenticity of his life that inspires people. He also educates generously for the sake of others. Today we pray with Mark 1:21-28.

Jesus calls his disciples and they answer him quickly. They say yes to Jesus and follow him immediately. We should do the same when God calls us to follow him and love our neighbors. Today we pray with Mark 1:14-20.

Jesus changes SImon’s name into “Peter” which means rock. This means that Peter is now invited to embrace a new identity and mission as a follower of Jesus. We are also called to change our ways into more loving people that act with justice and mercy. Today we meditate with John 1:35-42.

Mary said yes to an amazing mission: to be the mother of Jesus. With her bravery and with the joy of Gabriel we can learn how to be good messengers of the Gospel. Today we pray with Luke 1:26-38.

John the Baptist begins his ministry by describing himself as a a witness of the Light. Jesus is the light of the world. As we await his birth, we rejoice and we ask for the strength of being “lights” and witnesses our selves. Today we pray with John 1: 6-8, 19-28.

We continue to prepare the way of the Lord in our lives, along side John the Baptist. We also meditate on 4 things to do just that. Today we pray with Mark:1-8.

A happy person is thankful. But to be thankful, one must be aware of God’s blessings in our life. Today we pray with Mark 13: 33-37.

Following God is not about words, it’s about loving as God loves. And God promises eternal life for those who take care of the most vulnerable. Today we pray with Matthew 25:31-46.

God gives talents, gifts, and resources to all of us. These gifts are meant to be shared with others. Today we pray with Matthew 25:14-30.
